SEEKING PUBLIC ASSISTANCE: Woman Shot Multiple Times in Mount Shasta Vista Subdivision

On Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at approximately 9 p.m., Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Officers from the California Highway Patrol, responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting within the Mount Shasta Vista subdivision. A 36-year-old female was reportedly shot multiple times during a confrontation with a group of armed individuals. When Sheriff’s Deputies arrived, they located the female and provided life saving measures for her gunshot wounds until medical personnel arrived.

Witnesses to the shooting described the shooter as an Asian adult male, short and stocky, who wore glasses and a grey beanie type hat. Two vehicles associated with the shooter and other persons of interest were seen fleeing the scene after the shooting. These vehicles are described as being a newer Ford pickup truck, possibly similar to a Raptor, and an older SUV, similar to or possibly a Honda Pilot.
