On the last day of school before spring break, Dunsmuir Elementary School awards their students for their attendance, and also one student from each class is awarded a monthly character trait which, for the month of March, is gratitude.
Each month, there is a drawing for those who qualify with perfect attendance. The one lucky student wins a $25 gift certificate from the Pizza Factory in Dunsmuir. The other students that win are awarded a soda and a breadstick at the Pizza Factory which is located at 5804 Dunsmuir Avenue in Dunsmuir.
- Ranking first place in attendance is Rami Whites’s 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade class at 88.86%
- Second place is Mrs. Donna Clark’s 4th and 5th-grade class at 88.82%
- Third place class is Ms. Hailey William’s 2nd and 3rd-grade class at 85.18%
- 4th place is Leanna McMortrey (aka; Mrs. Mac),K-1 class at 83.70%
The winner of the drawing for the gift certificate went to Marlee Binns
We encourage the children to focus on all the good things in their lives and be thankful for what they have.
