“Nice to make people happy this time of year,” smiled Kathy Harvey, her eyes twinkling. “Buckets of bulbs with big, happy bees!”
For a remarkable 20 years, Kathy has been bringing bursts of color and joy to Happy Camp, sharing her passion for vibrant, multi-colored crocuses (and I swear I even spotted a stunning Amaryllis!). Walking up to her riverside haven, where spring flowers are just beginning to unfurl, is like stepping into a painter’s palette.

And then, the unexpected happened. A car door flew open, a flurry of motion, and a little bit of a commotion. Kathy simply giggled, “Guess they picked a flower pot with a bumblebee!” It seems even the bees are drawn to Kathy’s cheerful creations.
Having lived by the river for 45 years, Kathy’s connection to nature runs deep. Her hobby is more than just gardening; it’s a testament to her spirit and her desire to share a little bit of sunshine with everyone around her. If you’re looking for a dose of spring magic, a visit is a must. You’ll leave with a smile, and maybe even a bucket of bulbs buzzing with happy bees!
