It is with heavy hearts and battered souls, that we regretfully inform family and friends of the passing of our cherished Mother, Vivian Lynette Hansen, who left this world surrounded by, and in the arms of her family on February 10, 2025.
Vivian Lynette Hansen (LeValley), who was the kindest and most loving mother that any group of kids every had: Norlyn Peters, Mike Stufflebeam (Barbara), Donna Reusze (Tom), Sarah Killingsworth (Bobby), Donald Adrith Banhart Sr., along with all of their children: Jayda Reed (Ben), Jennifer Peters, Angelise Peters, Chris Stufflebeam, Mary Stufflebeam (Tiffany), Michelle Reusze, Robert Reusze (Jen), Travis Reusze (Sharon), Lance Killingsworth, Jason Killingsworth (MaryLynn), Derrick Killingsworth (Laney), Donald Adrith Banhart ll, as well as 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Lynette was also our best friend, our confidante, and our cheerleader. She was to us whatever was called for – day or night. If you were broken down on the side of the road and late coming home, rest assured she would come find you. Not only did she find a way to make every Christmas magical, but she also made each one of us feel extra special on our birthdays. Without fail, she would call and sing “Happy Birthday” in her sweet and loving way. She always said that her children were her best friends, and she proved it every day.
In 1968 she married the man who would be the love of her life, Victor Wilson Hansen, who we lost unfortunately on January 17, 2011.
Lynette had a love for nature, good food (she was and amazing cook), music, Christmas, snow, fireplaces, Virginia City, Nevada, and dogs. She worked several jobs over the years. She was generous and kind with a beautiful sense of humor. She is an example of a life well lived. We were all honored to have her as our mother, and we look forward to one day feel her hugs again.
A funeral service for Lynette will be held at Girdner Funeral Chapel in Yreka on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. A Celebration of Life luncheon at the Yreka Elks Lodge will follow the services.
