SISKIYOU COUNTY’S WEEKLY LINEUP (11/11/24-11/18/24)

Who’s Who in the County Lockup

STATISTICS FOR THE WEEK:

  • Most Popular Charge: Failure to Appear (apparently court dates are more like suggestions)
  • Most Creative Location: Grocery Outlet at 2:22 AM
  • Highest Bond: $100,000 (Mr. Stewart wins this dubious honor)
  • Most Frequent Visitor: The Alternative Sentencing Program
  • Busiest Agency: YPD (keeping Yreka interesting)

Remember folks: Court dates are not optional, Walmart items aren’t free samples, and DUI checkpoints aren’t meet-and-greet opportunities.

Michael M. Brathor, 33, of Medford, decided to RSVP “no” to his court date but “yes” to a new one. The SCSO helped him with his calendar management at the Jail Lobby. Released same day with a $5,000 reminder to keep his next appointment.

Brandon J. Clark, 50, found out theft isn’t a good career move in Yreka. SCSO arranged alternative housing with a CDCR hold. $40,000 bond suggests this wasn’t a case of borrowing sugar from a neighbor.

Blase R. Cole, 31, apparently misunderstood the concept of private property in Yreka, then tried to explain his perspective to officers. A one-day cooling-off period was provided courtesy of county accommodations.

Son E. Croy, 28, had a domestic disagreement that landed him in the county’s finest holding facility. YPD suggests anger management might be a better solution than the current $50,000 bond.

Jose R. Cruz-Mijangos, 22, was caught by SCSO playing traveling salesman with the wrong merchandise on I-5. His $25,000 bond suggests business wasn’t booming.

Richard R. Davis Jr, 47, joined the “forgot court date” club from Grass Valley. Membership cost: $5,000. At least he was prompt about turning himself in.

Randall W. Day, 41, achieved the impressive feat of collecting multiple warrants like Pokemon cards. YPD helped him cash in his collection for a grand total of $45,000 in bonds. Released same day to presumably start a new collection.

Kaytie L. DeMercurio, 35, got a free escort service from Siskiyou to Shasta County. CHP made the travel arrangements after a warrant check suggested she had pressing business down south.

Jason W. Dodd, 39, compiled quite the resume of charges in Yreka. SCSO career counselors suggested a $50,000 bond might help him reconsider his life choices.

Evan T. Fortna-Hanson, 39, found out warrants work across county lines. CHP helped him understand that both Shasta and Siskiyou take their paperwork seriously. $55,000 worth of serious.

Jamie C. Franklin, 25, took the term “late-night shopping” at Grocery Outlet too literally. YPD suggested 2:22 AM might not be the best time for driving practice. Court date set for after the holidays.

Troy S. Gardner, 39, had an impressive collection of court invitations he’d forgotten to RSVP to. YPD helped him sort through his social calendar at 4:12 AM. $20,000 worth of missed appointments.

Gina M. Gianquento, 23, tried to add some excitement to her Vista Drive travels. WPD decided her performance deserved an encore at the county jail, though she was released after a brief review.

Jose L. Gonzalez Jr, 69, found the casino a bit too entertaining. YPD offered him alternative accommodation for the evening, with a complimentary release the next day.

Anthony C. Grames, 27, discovered that smuggling contraband into jail isn’t like packing a lunch. YPD added that to his failure to appear charge, making for an expensive day of poor decisions.

Trevor J. Hood, 22, had a five-day staycation at County after an impressive display of poor judgment. YPD’s reservation package included multiple felony amenities and a $50,000 security deposit.

Julian R. Hubbell, 34, signed up for the County’s Alternative Sentencing fitness program – 7 days of structured activities, with 3 more days banked for future motivation.

Chad W. Hughes, 57, learned that Macdoel’s firearm regulations don’t have a “but I really wanted to” clause. SCSO offered him a $25,000 opportunity to reflect on this concept.

Daniel G. Hunt, 39, discovered Walmart’s exit-without-paying express lane isn’t actually a thing. YPD helped clarify store policy, along with some outstanding paperwork issues.

Branden R. Iler, 26, combined driving and chemistry in ways the CHP didn’t appreciate. His roadside performance earned him a $25,000 ticket to the county’s finest accommodations.

Rusty R. Johnson, 51, got a surprise transfer from Siskiyou to Sonoma County. Like an unexpected vacation, except with handcuffs and probation violations.

Justin M. Krueger, 48, thought South Dunsmuir needed a late-night driving exhibition. CHP critics rated his performance as legally insufficient, with bonus points for resisting their review.

Henry A. Lancaster, 29, learned that “concealed carry” has different rules for felons. SCSO provided a $20,000 lesson in firearm regulations, complete with complimentary bracelets.

William L. Linderman, 48, made a brief appearance at the Speedway, though his most impressive speed was achieved avoiding court dates. SCSO helped him catch up on his legal paperwork.

Marcial D. Lopez Cruz, 33, had a domestic disagreement that YPD felt needed a $50,000 cooling-off period. South Street residents appreciated the peace and quiet that followed.

Stephanie T. Lujan, 39, attempted to revise Walmart’s pricing structure without management approval. YPD discovered she had a similar fan club in Plumas County awaiting her performance.

Ramon R. Martinez, 71, proved age is just a number when it comes to DUI. Alternative Sentencing offered him a 15-day meditation retreat, with 8 more days to look forward to.

Bradley J. Mathus, 33, joined the Alternative Sentencing fitness club with a 5-day trial membership. Still has 3 days left on his punch card.

Adrienne J. Medeiros, 44, tried redefining “shopping” at Mt. Shasta. SCSO suggested the traditional method of paying might work better than her innovative approach.

Christopher J. Myers, 31, gave CHP an early morning chemistry demonstration at Hilt. Officers were unimpressed with his experimental driving techniques.

Enes Redzic, 26, managed to hit the law enforcement bingo card – armed, substances, DUI, and more! MSPD awarded him a $25,000 prize package including deluxe accommodation.

Kindra R. Richcreek, 48, collected warrants like trading cards. SCSO arranged a special travel package to Shasta County to help her sort through her collection.

Jeffrey D. Russell, 49, created an exciting mobile pharmacy/weapons display on I-5. CHP decided his entrepreneurial spirit needed a $25,000 market adjustment.

David R. Sand, 39, made such a brief appearance in the booking logs that even his charges didn’t stick around long enough to be listed. Mt. Shasta’s most mysterious guest of the week.

Baysy Sengxay, 50, discovered that Klamath County’s invitation couldn’t be ignored. YPD helped facilitate the interstate social call with a $10,000 travel bond.

Justin D. Stewart, 38, earned the week’s “Most Serious Charges” award. The DA’s office ensured his transfer from Shasta County came with a $100,000 incentive to stick around.

Daniel T. Struble, 40, tried interpreting probation rules creatively. SCSO offered a brief refresher course on the meaning of “follow the rules” before sending him on his way with an OR release.

Jacob S. Vaughn, 48, turned forgetting court dates into an art form. WPD’s late-night warrant roundup caught him practicing his craft at Vista Drive.

END NOTE: While we’ve had some fun with this report, remember each entry represents real allegations affecting real people. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, even those who really should have remembered their court dates.
