Nature’s Kitchen: Local Organic Cafe Closes, Legacy Continues

As the chapter closes on nearly five decades of full-service organic dining, with the final day of cafe service on October 31st, the staff and owners offer a heartfelt message:

“Our customers have enriched our lives. We had a good run.”

After nearly five decades of serving organic, made-from-scratch meals, Nature’s Kitchen, a beloved fixture in our community, will end its full restaurant service. This change marks the conclusion of an era for many local residents who have come to rely on Nature’s Kitchen for nutritious meals and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

  • Don’t forget Larry and Lisa Cooper who really started the whole thing in the mid 1970’s. In 1982, Larry and LIsa made 10 large loaves of bread, sliced horizontally for fancy sandwich loaves we made for our wedding.. I was lucky to find a bakery to do that.

  • Working at Nature’s Kitchen for many years was so meaningful! While wonderful organic food was being made and served, the restaurants presence brought people together in a rural community. So many beautiful memories!

  • Another wonderful business destroyed by oppressive government. Why do We the People keep putting up with this? When will Americans grow some balls and just say NO to this kind of BS?
