Packed Weekend of Community Events Across Siskiyou County

October 4-5, 2025 – Siskiyou County residents have plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy the crisp fall weather this weekend, with multiple community events going on.

Saturday Highlights

Fall Festival Returns to Fort Jones

The annual Fall Festival takes over Walker Field Baseball Park in Fort Jones on Saturday, October 4th, from 9am to 6pm. This free community event features a classic car show, food and craft vendors, hit-and-miss engines on display, live music, children’s games, and a duck dive. Raffles and prizes will be available throughout the day. All proceeds benefit the Fort Jones Lions Club scholarship fund and other community activities.

Etna FFA Holds 36th Annual Fundraiser

The Etna FFA chapter will host its 36th Annual Dinner Auction on Saturday evening at Etna High School Gym. A complete BBQ dinner and silent auction run from 5pm to 7pm, with the live auction beginning at 6:30pm. Presale tickets are available for $17 per plate, or $20 at the door. Siskiyou Sci-Fi Expo – Weekend Event

Science fiction fans can celebrate at the Siskiyou Sci-Fi Expo, running Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm at Rain Rock Casino. This tradeshow and consumer expo continues through Sunday, October 5th.

Community Service Events

Habitat for Humanity hosts a Drive-Thru Food Drive from 10am to 2pm at their parking lot at 311 South Main Street in Yreka. Additionally, Tractor Supply in Yreka will host a pet adoption event at 10am, and there’s a booth at the SRC Kids Day in the Park at Miner Street Park.

The Timber Hills Firewise community holds a workday beginning at 8am for residents interested in fire prevention efforts.

McCloud Celebrates Harvest Season

McCloud hosts its Apple Harvest Festival on Saturday with Nie’s Closet participating at 10am. The festivities continue into the evening with the McCloud Fireman’s Ball at 5pm at 104 Pine Street.

Sunday Schedule

Sunday offers a more relaxed pace with the Sci-Fi Expo continuing at Rain Rock Casino and weekly golf specials available through October 26th starting at 7am. The weekend wraps up with Movie Night at 6pm.

Other Weekend Activities

A Full Moon Ceremony titled “Festival of Lights” begins at 11am on Saturday, and a Kids Day event starts at noon. On Friday evening, October 3rd, a Mean Girls-themed party takes place at The Jolleys at 10pm.

With events ranging from family-friendly festivals to community fundraisers and specialty expos, this weekend offers something for everyone across Siskiyou County. Most events are free or low-cost, making it an affordable way to connect with neighbors and support local organizations.
