Patricia Ann Gilliam, aged 87, departed her loving family on September 12, 2025, at Shasta View Care Center in Weed.

She was born on February 22, 1938, in Orangeburg, South Carolina, to Leslie and Shelle Donie Small. She grew up and attended school in the Mount Shasta and McCloud area before eventually raising her family with her husband, Jackie Gilliam, in the small town of Gazelle.

Patricia was also known as Pat, Patsy, Auntie, Grandma, and Nana. She loved attending to her garden, which showcased a beautiful variety of flowers and bushes and she could be found pulling weeds or planting new perennials even into her eighties. She was a devout Christian, loved the Lord, and set aside daily time to study and annotate her bible. She was a beloved member of the Bethel Assembly of God in Yreka, which she attended for many years. Pat was continually involved in her family’s lives, always being their number one fan at basketball and baseball games, track meets, cheer routines, and concert band performances.

Pat worked many jobs in her early years. She was a waitress at the Aaron Thomas and Y Cafe in Weed. She baked desserts for the students and staff at College of the Siskiyous. She also later worked at the door factory in Weed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie. Along with Jackie and her parents, Leslie and Shelle Donie, Pat is reunited in Heaven with her sisters, Caroline, Louella, and Juanita, and her brothers, Sonny and Wayne.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Shelly (Fernie); her two sons, Curtis (Susie) and Patrick (Dana); and her baby sister, Nancy. She had seven grandchildren: Solomon (Angela), Isaac, Chris (Jaimie), Autumn (Jon), Nathan, Ethan (Megan), and Alexandra (Jordon). She had nine great-grandchildren: Charlotte, Jack, Bruce, Grayson, Owen, Maxom, Izobel, Rosemary, and Leon.

A date for the celebration of life will be announced in the future.
