Victoria โ€œElouiseโ€ Solus passed away on July 8, 2025, at Madrone Hospice in Yreka, California, leaving behind a legacy of strength, devotion, and unwavering love for her family.

Born on February 25, 1957, in Klamath Falls, Oregon, to Carol Ann and James Greer, Elouise spent her formative years in TuleLake and Mount Hebron, where she discovered her love for animals while playing at her grandfatherโ€™s ranch. These early experiences shaped her adventurous spirit and deep appreciation for the simple joys in life.

While working at the front desk of the TuleLake Hotel, Elouise met Robert F. Solus Jr., who was tending bar at the time. Their connection blossomed into love, leading to their marriage in Reno, Nevada, on September 18, 1976. Together, they built a life filled with shared adventures and dedication to their family.

For over a decade, Elouise worked in sales at Siskiyou Distributing, where her strong work ethic and determination shone through. She instilled these same values in her children, teaching them the importance of independence and perseverance. Her motto, โ€œa clean home is a happy home,โ€ reflected her belief in creating order and harmony in all aspects of life.

An avid traveler, Elouise found particular joy in cruising to Alaska and escaping to the warmth of Arizona. She was equally content camping and hunting, but her greatest happiness came from surrounding herself with family and friends.

Elouise found her true home in Yreka, where she spent 45 years raising her family and creating lasting memories. Her proudest achievement was her family, and she worked tirelessly to ensure her children had both necessities and occasional indulgences.

Elouise is survived by her brother William Greer; children Kellie Parkinson and husband William of Yreka; and grandchildren Tori of Yreka and Hayden of Idaho; great nephew Valic ; great niece Aubriana; nieces Nicole, Amber, Krystal, Jessica, and Lacy. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Robert F. Solus Jr., sons Robert (Robbie) and Matthew Solus, her parents Carol Ann and James Greer, and her sister Betty Kiser.

A funeral service will be held at Siskiyou Christian Fellowship on August 16, 2025, 11am. A reception will follow at the Yreka Elks Lodge, where tri-tip and bread will be provided. Guests are invited to bring a dish to share.

She will be missed by so many, but her legacy of love, strength, and dedication to family will continue through the lives she touched.
