The historic Scott Valley Grange, recently revitalized by dedicated community members, invites you to a delightful silent auction featuring homemade pies and cakes. Join us on Saturday, March 1st from 12-2 PM at the Grange building in Greenview. Your bids will help fund exterior painting of our beloved community landmark.
The Scott Valley Grange has been re-established for the benefit of the communities in Scott and Quartz Valleys. The Grange operated in Greenview for many years, from the 1910s until 2018. In August of 2023, a dedicated group of Scott Valley citizens joined the Grange movement, and are now again meeting monthly in the historic Grange building in Greenview. Fundraising events have enabled the Grange to hold community events inside of the building in 2024.
These events have included Square Dance lessons, Contra dance lessons and dances, craft fairs, craft-making sessions, Christmas wreath-making, educational events such as first-responder training, the valley-wide yard sale, community barbeque and appreciation events, gift basket raffles, monthly family game nights, and a Halloween carnival. Many more community events are on schedule for 2025.
In order to raise funds to finance a much-needed exterior painting of the historic Grange building this summer, a delicious pie-and-cake silent auction will be held at the Grange building in Greenview, from 12 to 2PM on Saturday, March 1st. We will have homemade pies and cakes baked by local residents on display and for silent bidding, with the goodies going home with the successful highest bidders at 2PM!
Please feel free to contact Jay or Terri Thesken at (530) 510-1382 if you would like to bake and donate a homemade item, or if there are questions about the event.

I’m not sure, but I believe the Grange Hall was named after my Great Uncle, Perry Leforest Harris.
