Mt Shasta Brewing Company’s Grand Finale

The Mt Shasta Brewing Company, located in Weed, held their “community sendoff” on Saturday night, January 17th, as they will take a pause to move to a new location in Siskiyou County.

The popular pub has been under the same ownership for one and a half years, tripling their beer production since taking over from the previous business. Their specialty brews like their Jalapeรฑo Amber, Lemurian Lager, and Hazy IPA have become very popular, including their Porter, which is known as the best on the West Coast. They are also known for their special pub food recipes like their smoked corned beef reuben and brisket brats. They take pride in supporting the local community by sourcing all their food and brewing ingredients locally.

They are known for hosting all-inclusive events including all local bands along with new high school and college bands. On their grand finale night, they had Kangarilla play, which is a local grunge band. Other popular events are regular karaoke and movie nights. They were the first to host Siskiyou Pride in Siskiyou County.

This is a popular family pub where they also serve ice cream and have games and activities for children like shuffleboard and Jenga, along with other games for the whole family to hang out together.

The brewery is all family owned and run; Anne Kline is a veteran from Mt Shasta, and her husband, Charles Kline, grew up in Weed and has been brewing since 2009. He says, “It is fun to give back to my community.”
