Siskiyou County Public Health Holds Annual Free Drive-Thru Flu Clinic

Yreka, Ca. – Siskiyou County Public Health (SCPH) will be holding its Annual Free Drive-Thru Flu Clinic on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. The clinic will once again be held at the Siskiyou Golden Fairgrounds, located at 1712 Fairlane Rd., Yreka, CA.

Flu season is just around the corner and early and timely flu shots can prevent a disease that hospitalizes 200,000 Americans every year. It takes about two weeks after getting a flu vaccine for your body to develop antibodies that protect against flu, so it’s best to be vaccinated before flu starts spreading in the community.

Annual flu vaccination is recommended for everyone 6 months and older, especially those with a health condition that may increase their risk of serious complications from the flu. The flu vaccine offers protection for many months, however, the strains of influenza circulating in the community change over time, so it is important to get the new vaccine every year.

The free flu shots are available to non-pregnant adults, 18+ years of age.  Parents are encouraged to take their children to their primary care provider and pregnant people should see their OB to get the flu vaccine.

For the safety of the vaccinators, SCPH kindly asks that attendees please not bring pets with them.

For more information, residents can call SCPH at (530) 841-2134 or email [email protected].
