February 5, 1981 – April 30, 2025
With broken hearts, we share the passing of Joseph Damien Duerr, who left this world far too soon on April 30, 2025 at the age of 44, after a courageous battle with addiction and mental health struggles.
Joseph was born on February 5, 1981. He was one of a kind, loved by all who met him, funny and quick witted. He had a heart big enough to hold love for everyone – except all to open his own. Joseph loved his family, dogs, and swimming at the creek in ice cold water.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Tani Duerr; three kids, Abbygail, Braden and Paisley Duerr; his parents, Eugene and Theresa Duerr; five siblings: Therese Duerr, Jennette (Glade) Stebbins, Bridgette (Ryan) Gomes, David (Natalie) Duerr, and Antoinette Duerr; and eight nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fort Jones. Interment will follow at the Fort Jones Catholic Cemetery.
