Siskiyou Arts Museum (SAM) held a reception for their new exhibit, “About Face!” during May’s Second Saturday, which was a big draw. A popular comment from many at the reception was that this show was one of the more interesting examples of such a variety of expressions from 18 different artists on a single theme. As Curator Cynthia Henderson says, “There is a variety of skill sets and styles represented here. Each possesses a gift of viewing the world in our own unique way. I was going to limit this show to just ten people, but I kept seeing more great work.”
From papier-mâché to photographs, paintings to mixed media, the variety of these mostly local artists’ work is something to see.
