Harold Mark Healy Jr
28 Feb 1950 – 08 Oct 2024

Harold Mark Healy, Jr. of Weed passed away on October 8th 2024 on his ranch in Weed. Known by all simply as Mark, he spent 34 years working for College of the Siskiyous in their facilities department. Mark was always proud, feeling that he and his team had the most beautiful campus in the community college system. In his retirement, Mark assumed a new role in the world, being an active grandfather, and spent the early spring each year hunting “squeaks” with his children and grandchildren. Mark could be found “puttering” around his ranch, taking care of his equipment, and marveling at all things that grow.

Mark is survived by his Wife of 52 years, Loretta Healy, sons Sean Healy of Roseville, Darren Healy of Weed, and Scott Healy of Klamath Falls. Mark loved his daughter-in-laws Julie Healy (Sean) and Crystal Healy (Darren). Mark was known as “Papa” to his grandchildren Caitlin, Adrianna, Alexis, and Jacob.

Mark was a lifelong Siskiyou County resident, leaving only to attend University of California at Davis where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree.

Keeping with Mark’s wishes, a celebratory potluck barbecue will be held at Mark’s home to celebrate his life and memory, on October 19th 2024 beginning at Noon. Friends are invited to come and celebrate a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Before his passing, Mark shared that he would like nothing more than to be remembered as what he strived to be every day; a good man.
