EHS High School Football Game Cancelled Due to Threats from Rival Fan Base

In a surprising turn of events, Etna High School has announced the cancellation of tonight’s football game against Trinity High School due to safety concerns. The decision came after threats were reportedly made by members of the Trinity fan base.

According to a statement posted on Etna High School’s Facebook page, school administrators made the difficult choice to cancel the game as a precautionary measure. The safety of students, staff, and community members was cited as the top priority in this decision.

“It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the cancellation of tonight’s football game,” the statement read. “This difficult decision was made due to threats directed at the game by the Trinity fan base.”

Despite the cancellation of the evening’s game, both Etna and Trinity High Schools were confirmed safe to open this morning. Law enforcement has been closely involved, working with both schools to address the situation.

Parents and community members with questions or concerns are encouraged to reach out to the school administration directly.

This is such a sad state of affairs!
It’s difficult to get one’s head around what is going on in our world! Happily I realize it’s NOT all of what’s going on & there are many wonderful folks working overtime to make Life safe & comfortable for us!
May we all work towards the highest good for all concerned!
