I was born and raised in Martinez, CA. I moved to Yreka in 2007 from Clayton, CA to be near family.
I graduated from Providence College of Nursing, Oakland California in 1961. Even after retirement in 2007, I continue to keep my License as a Registered Nurse.
I served on the Siskiyou Water Users Association board for 4 years. In 2010 I coordinated the campaign for the successful advisory ballot “Measure G” which received unprecedented 79% of the votes to retain the Klamath River dams.
I am a board member and legislative analyst for a state and a local grass roots organization.
Since moving to Yreka 14 years ago, I regularly attend Yreka City Council meetings. Because I am retired, I have the time to study and research the voluminous agenda documents.
I am running for city council because I strongly believe in preserving our rural culture, and protecting Yreka’s financial health and vitality from the overreaching of the state government.
One of my goals as a Yreka council member is to encourage and inspire citizens to become more informed and engaged in our local government.
I would be honored to receive your vote.
