UPDATE For Stolen Equipment:
Douglas Delarge called – he turned in the stolen trailer. He did the next right thing and gave back what he took.
He will have his day in court, and we are grateful for the community and hard work by the Siskiyou County Sheriff, local Etna Police, Shasta County Sheriff, and the F&G Wardens. There are some people that really still care about the people of these communities – they went above and beyond.
Hopefully this is a lesson to others – don’t take stuff that is not yours, get sober and do the right thing to those around you. Thank you Douglas for turning yourself in – I hope you get sober and change your life…there is still time to keep doing what is right.
This information came from Daniel Kramer during a phone call.
SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. — Local mine operators are appealing to the community for help after thieves stole equipment and supplies from their mining operation several days ago.
According to the owners, suspects broke into the mine and made off with a military dump truck, a Big Tex dump trailer, and a large quantity of supplies. Law enforcement recovered the military dump truck following the arrests of individuals believed to be involved in the theft. However, the Big Tex dump trailer and the remaining stolen supplies have not been recovered.
