Longtime Siskiyou County resident, Helen Keith, passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at Fairchild Medical Center in Yreka. She was 89 years old.
Helen was born in Ivanhoe, California to James and Edith (Westbrook) Williams on September 30, 1934. Helen has been a resident of Siskiyou County since 1974, owning and operating a sheep ranch in Montague prior to moving in to Yreka, where she spent a decade or more working at Burger King.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents and two siblings, Melvin Williams and Evelyn DeLaughter. She is survived by her children: Douglas (Julie) Keith, Roger (Leigh) Keith, Jenny (Paul) Freeman, Angela Bowers, Matthew (Kimberly) Keith, and Michael Keith; siblings Betty Jones, Joyce (Mike) Coffey, Nancy (Ernest) Meyer; and by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Helen will be laid to rest next to her late husband, Fred Raymond Keith, in San Mateo. No services are to be held.
