Accent on Art in August – the Arts Organizations
Connections, the art of coming together
- Artist networks build a better quality of life for everyone
A strong arts sector is a sign of a healthy community beyond an individualโs personal view. They go beyond small talk and supply artists with cohorts who stimulate each other and provide support for similar or new projects.
- Who? Galleries, art events, cooperatives and arts associations, working groups and councils
Artists need galleries and spaces to exhibit their work and communities seek out these venues to create a space where the viewer can see and analyze visual data which stimulates the brain. Looking at art increases blood flow to the brain by 10%. The viewer places themselves into the artwork, a process called embodied cognition, neurons in the brain stimulates action, movement and energy you see into actual emotions you feel.
