YREKA – The Siskiyou Golden Fair is thrilled that the Siskiyou County General Services has announced that the Siskiyou STAGE will once again be offering free rides on all routes on Friday August 9, 2024 This partnership has been a staple for fairgoers on “Free Fare Friday” for many years and all routes are free for riders all day long and a special shuttle will be implemented to get folks from the STAGE Transit Center to the special bus stop at the fairgrounds. The complete STAGE schedule can be found on the Siskiyou County website – www.siskiyou.ca.us/content/transportation-division-stage and will be available on each bus or at the transit center.
Free Fare Friday coincides with Grenada Gardens Senior Day again this year. “A fare free ride, free fair admission for all citizens over 62 years of age, malls filled with shade and exhibits galore will give Siskiyou County seniors an enjoyable day out with very little cost,” stated fair CEO Cliff Munson, “It is great to work with the STAGE to give everyone a chance to enjoy the fair.”
