County Clerk-Registrar of Voters Press Release:
Siskiyou County Clerk-Registrar of Voters Laura Bynum announces that cities, school districts and various special districts though out Siskiyou County will hold elections on November 5, 2024, consolidated with the General Election. The candidate filing period for these offices begin Monday, July 15, 2024 and runs through August 9, 2024.
For persons interested in running for a school board position or special district positions, the necessary paperwork can be obtained from the Siskiyou County Clerkโs Office during regular offices hours. For candidates for city positions, the required paperwork must be obtained from their specific city clerkโs office during the candidate filing period. Once the paperwork for city offices has been completed, it must be filed in the County Clerkโs Office.
A list of local offices up for election on November 5th is available online at www.sisqvotes.org. Additionally, Notices of Election, detailing specific offices up for election and the candidate filing process was published in the legal section of county newspapers on July 10th and 17th, 2024.
The Siskiyou County Clerkโs Office is located at 311 Fourth Street, Room 201, Yreka.
Regular office hours are Monday โ Friday, 9 a.m. โ noon and 1 p.m. โ 4 p.m.
