YREKA – The Siskiyou Golden Fair is excited to bring back the popular “Read to Win” program for Siskiyou County K-8th Grade Students. Participants that complete the program will receive six tickets for Midway of Fun carnival rides. Fair admission is not included but 6 & under are free every day, 12 & under are free on Thursday, American Ag Credit kids day and everyone is free on Sunday KTVL Family Day!
Siskiyou County students must read for 20 to 30 minutes for 20 days and have it documented by a parent or guardian. K-3 will need to draw a picture depicting one of the stories read and 4-8 graders will need a one-page book report on one of the stories, typed and double spaced to receive the prize tickets.
The program will begin June 1st and end on the opening day of the fair. The official form and accompanying documents must be turned in during the 2024 fair to receive the tickets. The program only allows for one set of prize tickets per student.
