PR: five scheduled vacancies on the Air Pollution Control District Hearing Board

Laura Bynum, Siskiyou County Clerk announces that there are five scheduled vacancies on the Air Pollution Control District Hearing Board, for the positions of Medical, Engineer, Attorney and two General Public representatives, for terms ending January 1, 2027; January 19, 2027; January 28, 2027 and March 16, 2026.

Members of APCDHB must file a Conflict of Interest Form (Form 700) when assuming office and annually. The APCDHB meets as needed to review air quality issues within the County. The APCDHB may grant a permit denied by the Air Pollution Control Officer (APCO), continue suspension of a permit suspended by the APCO, remove suspension of a permit invoked by the APCO, find that no violation exists and reinstate an existing permit, revoke an existing permit, grant or deny a variance from the requirements of the APCO, grant or deny an order for abatement of violation of any rule limiting discharge of air contaminants.
