BIOGRAPHICAL SYNOPSIS
As a Political Scientist with a life-long passion for government service, I took my degrees in Political Science with an advanced degree in International Relations. My core field of study in graduate school was Middle Eastern affairs, United States foreign policy. Since that time, my central focus has remained on issues of National Security.
With fidelity to purpose, several enriching experiences regarding United States national security and Middle Eastern affairs including Islamic terrorism, and more specifically, Israel, have emerged.
Graduating from the School of International Relations at the University of Southern California, I worked my way through undergraduate and then graduate school. At the start of graduate school, I was then recommended by the Chair of Middle Eastern Studies at the School of International Relations to join Analytical Assessments Corporation, AAC, a think tank that dealt with national security concerns. AAC operated in the Los Angeles and the Washington, D.C. areas.
Working with Top Secret clearances for AAC, I conducted research, analyzed, and wrote on matters regarding U.S. national security, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and other critical topics. My research and writing focused principally on the Middle East and Islamic terrorism for specific government agencies including the United States Departments of Defense and State, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Defense Intelligence Agency, and other defense and intelligence-related organizations.
After completing graduate school, with an emphasis on Middle Eastern affairs and government project work on the contemporary rise of Islamic terrorism, I was hired as a public relations writer on classified projects for U.S. intelligence at Eaton, Information Management Systems Division, a multinational corporation once located in Southern California.
Conducting research and working with a team to complete White Papers on intelligence systems, I continued to write on subjects related to the national security interests of the United States. After two years at Eaton, I went on to start my own consulting firm to write and produce public relations materials for publication.
I have also worked as an adjunct instructor, teaching political science courses on California government, U.S. government, U.S. international relations, Middle Eastern affairs, and Islamic terrorism. I have taught at the University of California, Irvine; the American Jewish University; Whizin Center of Continuing Education; and various community colleges, as well as Summit Bible College. I worked in this capacity for a number of years.
Having spoken at academic institutions and several non-government organizations, I have experience with both print and electronic media. I have written several articles, written and produced my own podcast on critical security issues and America’s most important strategic ally Israel, and have spoken on both radio and television.
And through the good offices of a former Director of the Zionist Organization of America in Jerusalem, I engaged his services in traveling to Israel’s border communities to better understand this strategic ally’s fight in the war against Islamic terrorism.
In addition, working in Romania during a humanitarian crisis, I had the opportunity to visit one of the poorest countries in Eastern Europe. I served the abandoned and orphaned infants and toddlers there in a tragically bleak state institution in the City of Domnesti. Later back home, I organized a fundraising event here in my community to help provide clean drinking water for Cambodian villagers in Southeast Asia.
In addition, I had a weekly broadcast for over six (6) years on Christian radio. The focus was on U.S. foreign policy, national security, Israel, fighting the war against Islamic terrorism, Middle Eastern affairs, and the persecution and genocide of Jews and Christians in Muslim-dominant countries, North Korea, and China.

A full curriculum vitae is available upon request.
I was born and raised in Shasta County and have lived here all my years aside from my college years in which I lived in LA. I have a Master’s Degree in Education and taught for a total of 14 yrs. I was appointed to the Anderson City Council in 2007 and have been elected to keep my seat each election since then. I worked hard at the state level to be a voice for the Northern California Cities through the League of California Cities where I have served as Chair of the Community Services Policy Committee and President of the Sacramento Valley Division in the past. Currently I am the 1st Vice President of the Mayors & Council Members Department and serve on the Public Safety Policy Committee. It has been my focus from day one of serving on the Anderson City Council to have our voice heard in Sacramento. I have not been shy over the years and served as Anderson’s Liaison to the League. I have worked with and spoke up for colleagues and citizens alike. I have formed good working relationships over the years that will last a long time and I plan on doing that in the Assembly!
I would be honored if you would support me for this run for State Assembly District 1 in 2024.
