There was wine tasting, live music, and a contest for the largest morel and boletus mushrooms found.

The Meeks from Cottonwood came prepared with a wagon for their little dog and to carry all their purchases at the Festival. They visited with Hope Howard from Los Angeles while Chris Williamson from Mt. Shasta photobombs them.

Cody Hanson and Krystal Deloboaso wear their mushroom-hunting shirts at the festival. Krystal says, “The mushrooms are coming out later this year because of all the late snow.”

Like all the booths, the Sasagiraffe Studio from Redding said that they did very well selling lots of their ceramics and paintings.

13-year-old Sophie Darst from Burney made her own dress and mushroom hat outfit and got a lot of attention during the festival getting dubbed ‘The Mushroom Queen’
