The Mushroom Festival in McCloud over the Memorial Day weekend was the largest received in its history. There were 130 booths of mushrooms for sale, crafts, clothes, plants, artwork, trinkets, jewelry, all kinds of

There was wine tasting, live music, and a contest for the largest morel and boletus mushrooms found.
Saturday drew the biggest crowd with cars parked along all the streets in town. The local waterfalls were a big draw for out-of-towners to check out as well.


The Hahn family came from Etna to enjoy the Mushroom Festival. Darren shows off the new folding knife he purchased at one of the booths.
The Meeks from Cottonwood came prepared with a wagon for their little dog and to carry all their purchases at the Festival. They visited with Hope Howard from Los Angeles while Chris Williamson from Mt. Shasta photobombs them.



3-D Printed Technology Fabrication out of Weed was a real popular with the kids. 6-year-old Maddox from Redding shows off the dragon that he purchased, saying, “I really like my dragon. It is a beauty.”
Cody Hanson and Krystal Deloboaso wear their mushroom-hunting shirts at the festival. Krystal says, “The mushrooms are coming out later this year because of all the late snow.”


Like all the booths, the Sasagiraffe Studio from Redding said that they did very well selling lots of their ceramics and paintings.
13-year-old Sophie Darst from Burney made her own dress and mushroom hat outfit and got a lot of attention during the festival getting dubbed ‘The Mushroom Queen’
