FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Scholarships available for transportation students |
Attention future transportation employees: In 2023, the Caltrans District 2 Employee Scholarship Committee in cooperation with the California Transportation Foundation will award up to five scholarships of $1,500 to academic and vocational students pursuing a course of study related to transportation. Transportation related fields may include project management, engineering, environmental, administration, accounting, human resources, public relations, equipment operation and repair, computer science and more. Interested students are encouraged to apply by completing their application with attachments by June 15, 2023. Eligible applicants will need a Caltrans District 2 sponsor to apply. A digital photo of awardees will be requested. Caltrans District 2 has been awarding scholarships to students pursuing a transportation related career for over 18 years. Over this time, the Caltrans District 2 Employee Scholarship fund has provided over $30,000 to those students that have met the qualifications and have been selected.
