Siskiyou County received thousands of lighting strikes East of I5 last night.


This is a screen shot of the thunder storm rolling north through the Tennant and Butte Valley Area.




Below is a screen recording of a new fire down Scott River that was spotted on the Active Fire Camera System in Scott Valley.


*MONDAY we are expecting cooler temperatures but a chance of evening thunderstorms.

On Sunday, July 31, 2022, at approximately 9:57 a.m., fire personnel located two deceased individuals inside a vehicle that was burned in the path of the #McKinneyFire. The vehicle was located in a residential driveway along Doggett Creek Road, which is off of Highway 96, west of the community of Klamath River, California.


**There will be no additional information pending positive identification and notifications to next-of-kin.**
