New Six Rivers National Forest Now Hiring!

Summer Seasonal Forestry Technician Positions live on USAjobs
Eureka, CA, February 20, 2026 – The Six Rivers National Forest is now hiring temporary seasonal Forestry Technician positions for the upcoming summer 2026 season in recreation and active management. Local residents encouraged to apply!

Do you love working outdoors in amazing landscapes? Do you want to help people have the best possible experience on national forests and grasslands? If your answer is yes, a Forestry Technician position is the job for you. Forestry technicians perform most of their duties outdoors, which could include trail repair, campground maintenance, visitor information, and wilderness protection. These are temporary positions, not to exceed 1,039 hours.
