Mike was in his element barefoot in a low tide near the Monterey Bay. Spotting sea urchins, anenemies and little crabs running sideways, these things just fascinated him. He’s a Californian and his parents were from Poland. He attended Damian Catholic High School in Pomona CA. Then, at UCSD in 1974 with a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry, he practiced at the cirrisos research lab at Scripps institute, La Jolla. Later, he became an avocado farmer, high school teacher and stock broker. A brilliant man with a great sense of humor, gratitude and joy. He lived in Mount Shasta since 2003, loved scuba diving, single track biking on mountain trails and cross country skiing. The St Francis prayer was his favorite. He received the sacrament of the sick on 08/26/2025.
He’s survived by his wife, Marga, her children, Michael, Kevin and Noemi, 4 sisters and 2 brothers and their families.
