SISKIYOU COUNTY PUBLIC NOTICE: Board and District Vacancies — Call for Applicants

Laura Bynum, Siskiyou County Clerk and Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, announces the following vacancies on county boards and districts. Interested residents are encouraged to apply.


Air Pollution Control District Hearing Board Four scheduled vacancies are available for the positions of Attorney, Engineer, and two General Public representatives, with terms ending March 16, 2029, January 19, 2030, January 28, 2030, and March 16, 2029, respectively.

The APCDHB meets as needed to review air quality issues countywide and has authority to grant, deny, suspend, reinstate, or revoke permits, and to grant or deny variances from Air Pollution Control Officer requirements. Members must file a Conflict of Interest Form (Form 700) upon assuming office and annually.

Assessment Appeals Board Three scheduled vacancies are available for Member positions, with terms ending September 3, 2029, and September 2, 2030.

Applicants must have a minimum of five years of California professional experience as a Certified Public Accountant, Public Accountant, licensed real estate broker, attorney, accredited property appraiser, or person with competent knowledge of property appraisal and taxation. Proof of qualifications is required. Members receive a stipend and mileage reimbursement and are expected to meet approximately twice per year. Members must file Form 700 and complete mandatory training provided by the State Board of Equalization.

PSA 2 Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council One unscheduled vacancy is available for a four-year term from the date of appointment.

The PSA 2 Advisory Council represents older adults across five counties and works closely with Area Agency on Aging staff as a principal advocate for seniors. Meetings are held regularly in Burney, California.

Copco Fire Protection District One unscheduled vacancy is available for a short term ending December 3, 2027. Applicants must be registered voters residing within the district. Members must file Form 700, Statement of Economic Interest.

Grenada Sanitation District One unscheduled vacancy is available for a short term ending December 3, 2027. Applicants must be registered voters residing within the district. Members must file Form 700, Statement of Economic Interest.
