Nina was born on April 16, 1956, to David and Anita Shepherd. After moving from Humboldt County as a child, she spent nearly all her life in Fort Jones, where she became a familiar face and member of the community.
On June 19, 1974, Nina married the love of her life, James โJimโ Dee Cramer. Together they raised two sons, Jimmy and Mike, and shared many happy years fishing, hunting, hiking, and building a life centered around family and the outdoors. In September 1997, Jim passed away after a battle with cancer.
Nina was known for her social nature and her ability to connect with others. Over the years, she worked at the Fort Bowl Cafรฉ, Fort Jones Chevron, as a school bus driver for the local school district, and as a tow truck driver for Onarheim Trucking. In every role, she left a lasting impression on those she met.
In her spare time, Nina found joy in being with her family and friends. She loved flowers, planning picnics, playing cards, bowling, hiking, fishing in high mountain lakes, and hunting. Her laughter and presence brought people together.
Nina is survived by her son, Mike (Jamie) Cramer; daughter in law, Trina Cramer; brother, Jim Shepherd; her grandchildren Jace (Mariana) Cramer, Jaden Cramer, and Jasmine Bingham; niece Avery (Piper and Caleb) Bear; nephew, John Shepherd; cousins Ted and Teressa Stodder (Ashley and Tyler), Bill and Patty Toroni (Macy).
She was preceded in death by her husband, James โJimโ Cramer; her son, James โJimmyโ Cramer II; her parents, David and Anita Shepherd; cousins, Dennis Gee, Robert (Bob) Gee, David Gee and Brienne Toroni.
