Redwood Gallery to Host “The Flower Show,” Its First Community Art Exhibition

Free, open-to-the-public exhibition celebrates local creativity through the beauty, symbolism, and joy of flowers — open to all Siskiyou County artists working in any medium

MT. SHASTA, CA — Redwood Gallery is proud to announce The Flower Show, its inaugural Community Art Exhibition, opening Saturday, May 2, 2026. The exhibition runs through Saturday, June 13, 2026, and is free and open to the public during regular gallery hours.

The Flower Show celebrates the beauty, symbolism, and joy of flowers through the lens of local creativity. The exhibition is open to all artists residing in Siskiyou County, working in any medium — including painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, sculpture, fiber art, printmaking, and digital art. Submitted works must include a floral component and be no larger than 18 inches on the longest side (inclusive of framing). Interpretations may be literal, abstract, symbolic, or expressive.

An opening night reception will be held on Saturday, May 2, from 4:00 to 7:00p.m. at the gallery, located at 209 N Mt. Shasta Blvd, Mt. Shasta, CA 96067. Admission is free and all are welcome.

Artists interested in submitting work may find submission guidelines and the online application form at redwood.gallery/events beginning March 1. To ensure a fair and organized review process, all submissions must be made through the online application form; physical artwork should not be brought to the gallery for consideration.

“This show is meant to celebrate the creativity of our local community. Whether you’re an emerging artist or have been creating for years, you are warmly encouraged to apply and share your vision of flowers with Mt. Shasta.” — Maria Miller, Owner, Redwood Gallery
