Obituary: Larry Don Hale

Larry Don (LD) Hale, 74, of Yreka, California passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026 at his home.

Larry was born on April 18, 1951 to William Vernon (Buck) Hale and Mabellean Hale in San Angelo, TX. Larry Don married Debbie Hale on October 31, 1993, and became inseparable from that day. They celebrated over 30 wonderful years together.

Larry was a skilled mechanic with a deep love for the outdoors and the mountains. In his younger years, he helped build bridgesโ€”work that reflected both his strength and his love for adventure. He found peace in hiking, long walks, and being surrounded by nature. Known for his humor and easygoing spirit, he always carried a smile and shared it freely with others. His laughter, love of the outdoors, and quirky sayings, โ€œoh huh,โ€ will be deeply missed.
