Lawrence Mason Kelly (known as “Larry”) was born on March 14, 1935 in Grants Pass, Oregon. He passed away on December 25, 2025 of natural causes.
Larry attended school and graduated from Josephine County High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army at Seventh Army headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany, from 1953 to 1956. He returned to civilian life and graduated from Golden Gate College in San Francisco and from San Francisco Law School. He was a professor at San Francisco State University for many years and conducted a private practice as well. He and his wife semi-retired to Scott Valley in 1990.
Larry is survived by his wife, Jacquelin Leary, and three children, Mark, Lisa, and Scott; and four grandchildren, Loren, Liam, Victoria and Delaney; and one great granddaughter, Ginny Grace Hill.
A family service will be held at a later date.
