After 43 years of directing, acting, and playwriting for our community, J.J. Lewis-Nichols has retired, but will continue her theater legacy by offering a retrospective of her career here in Siskiyou County starting this Christmas. She has turned her music, plays, dramas, comedies, and Shakespeare into DVDs for many to enjoy because the quality of talent is extraordinary and well worth revisiting.
Starting Friday, December 19 at 7:30 PM, SPAC will present “Christmas Carol” (2001) starring Ned Nichols as the irascible Ebenezer Scrooge on our big screen format. Also starring are Bart Ackerman and Linda Neal as the Cratchits with Olivia Duncan as Tiny Tim; Diane Soder as Angel Past, Craig Bass as Angel Present, Laura Flett as Angel Future. Cristal and Mike Duncan are Scrooge’s nephew and his wife with Kate Jopson, Brooke Martii, Gina Villani and a Heavenly Host of Angels in this unique adaptationโoriginal music and lyrics by Lewis-Nichols.
Saturday, December 20 at 1:30 PM will show “The story of The Velveteen Rabbit” starring Robin O’Brien and Cooper Bruhns (now Augustine Lourie) with Angela Martinez, John McNally, Monique Dixon, Genise Smith, Dan Gutleben and many more.
Then Sunday, December 21 at 1:30 PM we’ll present “SnoopyโA Musical for Christmas” starring Ned Nichols, Vreada Lee, Carol Weekly, J.J. Lewis-Nichols, Bill Mc, George Calvin Booth as Snoopy and Cindy Hammer as Woodstock.
For Valentine’s Day we will present “The Last of the Red Hot Lovers” starring Tom Sieber, Connie Croad, Dari Peterson and J.J. Lewis-Nichols. Then we’ll show “Once Upon a Mattress” with Tom Sieber, Connie Croad, Ned and J.J.
