YREKA- The Siskiyou Golden Fairground will be hosting the 1st Annual State of Jefferson Expo April 11 & 12, 2026 and returning to Yreka for the 13th year will be The NorCal Invitational Chainsaw Carving Championships with world class carvers from across the United States. Because of the date change, information for carvers interested in the event is up on the fair website – www.sisqfair.com. This annual event has become a community favorite and with the fair moving to June for 2026, we hope to showcase the agriculture and timber industry along with everything outdoors in Siskiyou County! Carvers are encouraged to go to the website and signup for the new date. The carving contest will once again be coordinated by George Kenny from Allyn Washington and we expect many of the world champions to be on site for the event. Enter up and we hope to see you at the 13th NorCal Invitational Chainsaw Carving Championships – April 11 & 12, 2026.
