Thank you to those who participated in Mondayโs Town Hall meeting
Todd Juhasz
City Manager
I want to thank everyone who attended the Cityโs Town Hall meeting aimed at finding solutions to protect the City of Mount Shastaโs Firefighting and Essential Services.
Your input, ideas and insights were just what we needed.
Over the past several years, the City of Mount Shasta has made every effort to improve services while cutting any fat from its budget. Additional cuts would directly limit the City’s Fire and Police budgets and force cuts to our Essential Services.
As we discussed a local revenue measure, Town Hall participants made it clear: any measure to increase revenue would need to include citizen oversight, annual audits, transparency and accountability.
We will continue our research and planning to protect Mount Shasta’s firefighting capabilities. We will keep the public informed through the entire process.
If you ever have any questions, thoughts or ideas โ please do not hesitate to reach out.
