Rally behind Weed High by voting and sharing at FridayNight5GLights.com after September 25th

WEED, Calif. โ Weed High School has secured $5,000 as one of nine California schools awarded through T-Mobileโs Friday Night 5G Lights program, a nationwide initiative supporting small-town high school football. The $5,000 will enhance the schoolโs sports facilities, but the bigger goal is the $1 million grand prize for a complete field tech upgrade, including a renovated weight room and a trip to the SEC Championship.
Selected from 450 schools nationwide, Weed High joins other California winners like Alpaugh High and Soledad High. Community support is vital to reach the top 25 finalists, announced September 25, 2025, followed by public voting from September 25 to October 24 at FridayNight5GLights.com, with daily votes and social media challenges boosting chances.
This prize could transform Weedโs football program and community spirit. Rally behind Weed High by voting and sharing at FridayNight5GLights.com after September 25.
