The 2026 Paint the Fair contest where artists are encouraged to create the artwork for the 2026 fair using the winning theme โJune Night under Stars and Stripesโ submitted by Cooper Greene of Weed. The 2026 fair will celebrate the 167th year since the first fair was held in Siskiyou County, the first fair in June, and the 250th birthday of the United States of America!
The artwork should relate to the theme, the medium is artist preference, it is best if the original is about 18 x 24 inches in size. The winner of the contest will receive the $500.00 prize money and the artwork becomes the property of the Siskiyou Golden Fair.
The 2026 Fair Theme contest ran during the 2025 fair to accommodate the need to expedite fair preparation for 2026 and the โPaint the Fairโ contest is now underway. Anyone wanting to create and enter artwork for 2026 is encouraged to email โ [email protected] or snail mail โ Siskiyou Golden Fair Theme Contest 1712 Fairlane Road, Yreka CA 96097 to let us know. The artwork will be due in the fair office by 5:00 pm on Friday November 7th, 2025.
