Carrol Lee Riccomini, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, educator, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2025, at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her husband George in 2010.
She was born as the only child to Buzz and Hazel Kohlbaker on August 18, 1941, in Dunsmuir, California. Carrol spent her life rooted in the beauty and community of Northern California. She dedicated over 40 years to teaching, shaping the lives of countless students with her warmth, dedication, and unwavering belief in the power of education. Her impact in the classroom extended far beyond academicsโshe was a mentor, role model, and a constant source of encouragement.
