Friday morning is a good time to be in Dunsmuir, CA at Manfredi’s.  Tourists and travelers from out of town have called the place “the Dunsmuir Valero gas station”,  but to the locals it’s known simply as Manfredi’s.

$18.83, including tax, will buy you three pork ribs, a heaping portion (?Pint?) of broccoli salad, and a heaping portion of crab salad.  A great deal, considering the rising cost of food these days. (Alex Brendel)
