47 year old Christopher Michael Ocampo Jr. was born on June 12, 1977 to his parents, Patricia Gifford (Rostrata) and Christopher Ocampo Sr.
Chris was raised in the Vallejo/American Canyon and graduated from Vintage High School. Chris joined the U.S. Navy when he turned 18 years old, serving his country as an Operations Specialist, Third Class, and he left with honors. Chris worked various jobs after discharging from the Navy, but stopped working due to his health. Chris enjoyed playing games, including MAGIC The Gathering, board, video and computer games. Chris loved superheroes, and collected comic books. Chris also loved sports. His favorite teams were the Los Angeles Lakers and the Oakland A’s.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Cierra Cervantes (Alberto), parents Patricia Gifford (Roger) and Christopher Ocampo Sr. (Anita), his sister Jennifer Ocampo (Ed) and their daughter Ariel Legler, his brother Brian (Vy), his stepson Eric Leggett Jr., his step brother Dennis Gifford and step sister Chelsea Gifford, aunts and uncles Pinky Santiago (Dwight), Marilyn Rostrata, Liz Baker and Larry Rostrata, and his cousins Jessica Tabayoyong (James) and their children Alina and Koa, Rachel Garcia (Gil), Stephanie Rostrata and her daughters Aria and Isla, Michael Rostrata (Elizabeth) and their daughter Leilani. Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents Simon Rostrata, Dominga Rostrata, Crispin Ocampo, Esther Ocampo and his uncle Daniel Ocampo.
Chris was loved and cherished by many, and we are comforted knowing that he is no longer in pain.
