Scott and Shasta River Watersheds: Current Regulations and Future Plans

The State Water Board’s emergency regulation for the Scott and Shasta River Watersheds remains in effect until January 26, 2026. As of mid-May 2025, curtailments in both watersheds were suspended due to flows exceeding minimum requirements. With drier months approaching, the Board will continue monitoring conditions and provide updates through the Scott River and Shasta River Watersheds webpage and the “Scott-Shasta Drought & Flow Efforts” email list.
