It all started at the beginning of this month. We now have mobile detailing at an affordable rate here in Siskiyou County.

Jonathan Malbrue, a young entrepreneur at 25 years of age, wanted to do something more than work overtime at minimum wage to create a life here in Siskiyou County.
During the three years he was in college to become a firefighter and EMT, he washed his family and friendsโ cars and found that he really enjoyed mobile detailing. Working overtime at Roseburg in hopes of pursuing an apprenticeship, he decided to create something on his own to bring in more revenue instead. After researching through Google, YouTube, and ChatGPT, he learned a lot about the tools and equipment he needed to invest in to create a side business in detailing vehicles.
Starting off detailing just one vehicle a day was a nice change, and now he doesnโt have to work overtime shifts at his regular job. He saw that his coworker, Anthony Beltran, was a hard worker and asked him if he would like to join him in this new adventure of detailing and washing cars. Coming from strict parents, Anthony used to hate to clean but grew to like it โbecause of the satisfaction I get from the transformation of a good cleaning,โ says Beltran.
Malbrue learned about the different types of chemicals and how to use them properly. โIt is not just vacuuming out a vehicle. I invested in an air compressor, a shop vac, pressure washer, drills and brushes, and specialized equipment like a Tornador Vortex attachment to attach to the air compressor to help get debris out of the carpet. The three methods I use are to vacuum, implement the air compressor, then spray all-purpose cleaner to encapsulate the debris within the fibers of the carpet and vacuum the moisture out. There are lots of steps to take to really get the dirt out. Seeing the transformation is very satisfying.โ
Scrubbing out the little nooks and crannies takes about an hour to complete the inside and another hour for the outside of a vehicle. He has a list of prices for the different types of detailing. He also offers a maintenance plan. And compared to bigger cities like Fairfield, at $240 to $300 a job, he is very reasonable for Siskiyou County. โI have created new add-on services for what people want, like tint removal.โ They serve all of Siskiyou County.
Jonathan Malbrueโs goal for the future is to build other businesses like window and/or house washing, carpet cleaning, and wood floor polishing and waxing.

Very good. A mobile oil changer would be a game changer.
