Golden Eagle Charter School 3rd Annual Art Exhibit- May 15th at 5:30 pm

Golden Eagle Charter School is having their 3rd annual art show exhibit at the Mossbrae Hotel in Dunsmuir. It opens on May 15th at 5:30 pm, and the entire school from grades 1st to 8th will be there.

There are so many different themes in this exhibit that all the artwork from the students not only covers the walls of the Mossbrae Hotel lobby as most art shows do, this exhibit also covers the stairwell and the hallways upstairs as well. The art teacher, Lynn Lujan, has inspired her students to express themselves through many different types of media, which one will see these children did with vigor.

Getting a glimpse of the exhibit prior to Dunsmuir’s Second Saturday, Gail Domanski says, “It gives me goosebumps how beautiful these pictures are. The use of color and depth for such young children makes this amazing artwork. They get just enough information to just go with it and create such great artwork. They don’t know that they can’t do this yet. This is a must see.”

‘Everyday Paint Brushes’ inspired by artist Jim Dine. The students from 2nd to 4th grade used ink, watercolor and charcoal.

Having the children experience many different ways to express themselves through art, the themes are numerous and varied. The themes include Ships in a Bottle, Fall Leaves, Abstract Landscapes, Winter Cardinals, Tie Dye Butterflies, Mixed Media Flowers, Sunflowers, Cut Paper Flowers, Birds in Tints and Shades, Undersea Creatures, Patterned Vase, Unity and Variety, Who Am I?, Starry Starry City, Everyday Paint Brushes, and more.

The Mossbrae Hotel is located at 5734 Dunsmuir Avenue in Dunsmuir.
