
YREKA, CAย – The Siskiyou County Fire Chiefs Association held its annual awards banquet, a heartfelt celebration dedicated to the tireless efforts and unwavering commitment of the county’s volunteer firefighters and community supporters. The evening served as a platform to recognize individuals who have gone above and beyond in service to their local fire departments and the wider community.
The event, which featured a delightful dinner catered by Raymondโs Catering, brought together fire chiefs, volunteer firefighters, their families, and community members to acknowledge the vital role volunteers play in ensuring the safety and well-being of Siskiyou County.
A presentation of awards to several outstanding individuals from various fire departments across the county. The following individuals were recognized for their exceptional contributions:
- Brad Abildgaardย of the Yreka Fire Department
- Wyatt Carsonย of the Weed Fire Department
- Charles Evansย of the Salmon River Fire Department
- Rob Jacksonย of the South Yreka Fire Department
- Richard Harrisonย of the McCloud Fire Department
- Ben McAuliffeย of the Klamath River Fire Department
- Larry Hicksย of the Etna Fire Department
In addition to honoring the dedicated firefighters, the Association also recognized a remarkable individual for their outstanding community support.ย Liz Bowlesย of the South Yreka Fire Department was named theย South Yreka Fire Citizen of the Year.
