Obituary: Geraldine Mary “Gerrie” Froiland

Geraldine (Gerrie) Mary Froiland 89 of Medford Or. was peacefully called for and retrieved by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 27, 2025.

Gerrie was born to John and Fidella Clark on December 19, 1935 in Orange, California. The youngest of two sisters. In 1953, she married Gerald Froiland and had two children: a son, Andy followed by a daughter, Louise. She would move with her husband to Yreka in 1969 and live there until 2022, when she moved to Medford, Oregon to be close to her granddaughter and great grandkids..

Though she was a long time hairdresser, she preferred to be known first and foremost as a lover and servant of Jesus Christ. Her passion was giving out Bibles to anyone she knew didn’t have one and sponsoring Missionaries. She lived out her love for Jesus by loving and serving her husband, Jerry and their two children, Andy and Louise.

While she enjoyed cooking, sewing and traveling with her husband, she was a real lover of family. Between nieces and nephews, grandkids and great grandkids she was never at a loss for family fun and fellowship.

She is survived by her son Andy, his son Michael, Louise’s daughter Kara Peck and her children along with several nephews, and their children who fondly and lovingly referred to her as Aunt Sister.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jerry Froiland and her daughter Louise Froiland.

A funeral service will be held at Girdner Funeral Chapel in Yreka on Saturday, April 12 at 11am.
