Carl Donald “Don” Johnson passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home in Etna, California on February 21, 2025. He was born on December 2, 1932, in Chico, California, to Carl and Marie Johnson.
Don grew up in Etna, where he spent his youth enjoying the outdoors. As a teen, he loved hunting and fast cars. He was an accomplished athlete and musician, as the doubles tennis champion in high school. He played the clarinet in band for four years and boxed during his senior year.

I’m sorry to hear of Don’s passing. My dad, Carl Czerwinski, who worked in the logging industry, including driving loggy trucks, may have worked for or with him.
