Dear Congressman LaMalfa,
Thank you for your efforts to save our local schools—they mean so much to Siskiyou County. But I’m writing with a deeper worry about our future. I’ve been researching how much of our economy depends on federal funding, and the numbers I found are stark.

We have to hope that Congressman LaMalfa will put our community first and vote against legislation that hurts farmers, ranchers, veterans, elderly and children. Of course we all want to do away with fraud and corruption however in the urgency to produce savings, I think vital programs will be cut and our unemployment rate will skyrocket.
